Why should I choose Chiropractic Care?

The science of chiropractic centers around the body's spine. The spine houses and protects the spinal cord, which is the "switchboard" through which nerve impulses are transmitted from the brain to all parts of the body.
In the event of stress or an injury, misaligned vertebrae can interfere with nerve transmissions and cause pain. Chiropractic treatment realigns the vertebrae so the nerve impulses are not restricted, thus restoring proper spinal function. It is this proper spinal function which is so very important for the health of the entire human body.

Chiropractic is a proven safe and effective treatment for many conditions and the secondary benefits are limitless in maintaining optimal health. There are hundreds of studies validating the safety and effectiveness of chiropractic care. What should I expect during an initial visit to your chiropractor service?

In most cases a 60 minute appointment is set up so that the doctors can perform a complete case history and examination. Prior to your exam, our staff will help you with preliminary paperwork, provide an explanation of insurance benefits, and answer any questions regarding financial responsibility.

Once the examination has started, a complete history is taken so that the doctor can fully appreciate the nature of your condition and proceed with the proper examination. X-rays are often taken which provide further information.

Depending on your condition, the doctor might provide treatment on your initial visit or wait until a subsequent visit when you have been provided with a full report of findings. One of our goals at Gateway Chiropractic Center is to ensure that you have a complete understanding of why certain tests are performed, what the results of that testing indicates, and why certain treatments are recommended. Educating you is one of our primary goals and this begins from the minute you walk through our door.

Will health insurance cover Chiropractic care?

All of us at Gateway Chiropractic Center are concerned about the ever-changing cost of healthcare. We deliver excellent care at reasonable costs. Per-visit costs are generally lower for chiropractic visits than any other health care providers.

We are providers for most insurance plans in Wisconsin, including Medicare and Medicaid (Badgercare). If you are unsure of your coverage, we will be happy to contact your insurance company and verify your chiropractic benefits. In addition, we offer insurance billing services for patients.

If you do not have insurance, we offer discounted costs for chiropractic care and are happy to work with you to develop a reasonable payment plan, if necessary.
